I am also in Ecuador (Quito) and I just did the anysim unlock. Calling is working fine with my Porta chip. However, I cannot get to the Edge settings for Porta, nor do I know what settings to add when I do.

Also, Youtube is not working via WiFi but I think that may be an unrelated problem.

Yeah, I tried using Paycay a second time (as suggested) to no avail. It's probably on the Youtube side of the house.

wow thats grea i live in NYC but i am from ecuador I am from Manabi Chone ....good to know since I all be going there soon..how does the data plan work there? All a ur you tube problem pobally just b.c u need to replace the you tube certificed file in one of the directors...since I think you tube check to see if ur phone activated with at&t

how can i use tye edge service in ecuador? i heard that you can activate the blackberry services and configure the iphone to use the internet
