Has anyone used the PQDVD activation method and then unlocked their phone?

Which method did you use? Or what did you do?

Should I reset my phone and start from scratch for activation or can I build off of the PQDVD activation?

Read the forum! Search the forum! Use AppTappInstaller, lockdownd, software unlock etc......PQDVD is totally outdated now

I already have an activated phone from long ago activated via PQDVD.

Getting around to unlocking the phone via software.

Just want to be sure in what I am doing ... Therefore should I reset my phone and start from scratch (ie. follow the method as if it was out of the box) or can I keep my activation via PQDVD and start where? Thanks again.

I would start with a 1.0.2 firmware restore and go from there.....

I did the unlock using the pqdvd activation. It works great until I tried to use Ibrickr to install ipsf and anysim and both got stuck on a black screen.

I then gave up, used the anyapp installer + pacay, loaded ipsf, voila.... everything works!

I used it to activate when I first got my iPhone back in the end of July. When I ran the unlock, I restored 1.02 and iTunes reactivated my phone with the same PQDVD activation. I then ran the hacks, no problem.
