Is anybody willing or even able to do Hardware unlocking in Calgary. Someone must have unlocked in Calgary...anyone...!!!

This notice is also for the private phone stores...they must have the service for the Phone.

The unlock process isn't as easy as it seems. There's a chance this will brick your iPhone. Saying that, it took us about 3 hours to do one. You can do it quicker, but chances are you'll scratch the case.

Here's a link to a guy selling his (in Calgary). I don't think he'll do it for anything less than $250, since his price is $950 (approx. $700 for phone and $250 for unlock)

We all understand that the hardware fix is difficult but we need someone that has performed it here in Cowtown. Oh now i'am seeing that a software fix is on the way maybe today or tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed....

Im still waiting for the software unlock. The absolute most I would pay is between
$50-100. What happens when the iphone needs to be repaired by Apple?

I imported mine second week of July, and have been using it as an ipod for almost 2 months now. I think the DEV TEAM here alreay has the unlock, but were never interested in releasing it. They seem to be the last ones to update their status...

Anyways, sooner or later the unlock will be for free, and I think the people that pay $200 or more are complete idiots.

Im in CGY right now, but wouldnt mind doing the Turbo Sim method if its available locally and affordable. Anyone?

Thanks for the info Sebastian25...i also would like to get my hands on the TurboSim card..i know that bladox have a five pack that they sell...when they can make more i would be very interested. Maybe we can get 5 people interested in turboSim here in Cowtown. Anyone else up for it..we have two just need 3 more..

What software did you use to have your iPhone up and running as an ipod.
I have WindowsXP.

I tried various ones including patching itunes. I was unsuccessful activating through Windows, so I used my bros Mac and ran the cmd script from Anderson's method (i think). I tried Jailbreaking it previously but when I got thru IActivators steps it crashed right before the last step.

I assume that when the software hack comes out I will probably use the mac just because with Windows Vista i always run into problems.

I'm in Calgary. I ordered a TurboSIM from pdaplaza before Bladox started selling the 5-packs, otherwise I'd join in since the 5-pack is cheaper! My TurboSIM shipped on Wednesday; should arrive after the long weekend.
