    Default Iphone touchscreen frozen

Hello, Ive tried to find a solution for my iphone. The touchscreen seems to be dead. The iphone does power up, and the slide to unlock menu works, but no matter how hard I try, the touchscreen just doesnt respond. A little lock is locked in the upper center part. Is there a way to make it work? It was a 1.02 unlocked sim iphone, I even restored it again and put in apptapp and pacay, but no luck trying to move anything in the touchscreen. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried restoring an using iBrickr to free the phone? If you are on a pc? Then run Pacay to activate

I restored it to 1.0.2 in itunes, then applied apptap, pacay and the phone goes to the springboard, but the lock in the middle still shows and I cannot use any options since the touchscreen does not respond. If I hold down the sleep button the red slider appears, but I cant move it, it does not work. It seems the iphone works perfect, I even downloaded music to it, but the only thing that doesnt work is the touchscreen and a little lock shows in the upper center part of the screen. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

That little lock is always there even if your screen works normally.

Try bumping up the sensitivity of your screen with this:

    http://ra**ds****.com/files/60583410/General.plist.html

This general.plist file that adds a touchscreen setting to your General Settings. It can alter the touchscreen sensors, with 0 being a high sensor (which is what I have set mine to now) and 16 being the lowest sensor (can't move anything). Default setting is 3.5.

Upload the file to Applications/Preferences.app and you're set! No more dead spots woo hooooooooo!

Let us know if it works for you!

I uploaded the file, I did not modifiy it, just downloaded it and uploaded it to the iphone with no success. still no response on either slide to unlock or slide to power off bars... Thanks for the help though. The iphone was working great, unlocked. It just happened. Do you guys think it might be the touchscreen. If so, do you think apple can replace the iphone. thanks!
