Default iPhone Sucessfully Unlocked. but unusable until restore....WEIRD...

So I followed the whole procedure and successfully unlocked my iphone (free sw unlock..)

Everything went well according to this method (http://macapper.com/2007/09/11/download-iphone-unlock/, ... BUT after I restarted my iPhone it was Unusable :

    - it takes a lot longer to boot than usual...
    - It just LAGS and and I can't do anything with it.. as if something was running on it and taking 99.9 % of the CPU...
    - Takes several minutes before I can actually slide the thingy to see Springboard..
    - SpringBoard takes several seconds before showing up...
    - I can SSH to it though, run commands etc... I don't see anything takin 99% of the CPU
    - Tried to restart it many times... same thing...

then I tried a restore...After recovery mode + iTunes restore the phone seem to work at "regular" speed.... Reactivation with independence and now seem to work perfectly on T-Mobile...

Weird huh? Anyone seen that? I've ben readin the forum all day and read so many success stories.. noone seem to have had this problem..

anyhow.. seems ok now.. THANKS AGAIN to the Dev Team!

any other way? (a restore on a Win computer erases data from iPhone... I don't want to have to re-enter everything)

and the strange thing is that without the SIM card in, the iPhone works normally... as soon as it's in, it takes about 20 secs to just stop responding. (SFTP and SSH work correctly though)

here's what fixed mine... put the SIM in another phone and remove SIM PIN (set it to off)

    works nicely now...

Same problem. A restore fixed the problem.

I had same problem. In addition, installer.app would just hang the system. had to ssh to the phone and kill the process. Only a full restore fixed it..

Same for me. I thought the unlock was unsuccessful, but after a restore and jailbreak all was well.
