iPhone stuck in "Standby Mode"
Hi all, I have a 2G (pwnd) and a 3G (legit) both 8Gb on the Vodafone network in NZ. I have two issues but could be related:
1. I noticed not long after I got my 2G that it would "freeze" or get stuck in standby when a call came in and the only way to wake it up/unlock it was to press the power button twice which would divert the call to voicemail. It didnt happen too often so didnt think much of it. When I got my 3G, I thought I wouldn't have to put up with it anymore, but it is doing it on the 3G too.
2. Today my 2G seems to be permanently stuck in "standby mode" the only way I can bring it out of standby is to connect it to my computer or charger. If it goes to sleep then I need to do the same again (or disconnect from computer/charge, then reconnect).
Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a fix?
Thanks guys :hack:
First of all sorry about the thread i posted today i didnt know that a similar thread already existed.
Today i experienced kind of the same issue the phone got stuck in standby mode and nothing was responding (home buttom, sleep/wake nothing), it looked like it was in DFU mode. It only responded when i held both the home and sleep/wake buttom for about 10-15 seconds and then got stuck at the apple logo for another 20 seconds before starting normally. Before 5-6 days i downgarded form 2.1 to 1.1.4 and the process was succecful, and after the downgrade by 3 days i reupgraded back to 2.1 (by pressing update on itunes, but for some reason quicpwn could not recognize the phone so i placed it in restore mode and restored to 2.1). I jailbroke and activated the phone using iliberty+ and unlocked by bootneuter when downgrading, and quickpwn 2.1(windows) when back at 2.1. Is the downgrading/upgrading process the cause of this? Plus is it dangerous?
Thanks for the help in advance.
