you better restore before you send it in also you might want to check out hardware or google because you might be able to replace the screen yourself

Its got 4-6 cm cracks going through the screen.

Do you think apple will replace it? i was thinking that i could give it a clean swipe and say to apple i was charging and woke up with the screen cracked, most likely due to the heat and it stopped responding so i did a restore on it.

What you guys think? + what is virginising your iphone mean????

Sorry to say that but Apple warranty does not cover broken screens. So, your phone is not covered. Only way is to have somebody replace the screen for you. I have a friend who does that. I can help you if you're in Los Angeles area.
If not, you can buy a new screen off Ebay and replace it yourself. That will take lots of reading to learn how to open the phone, etc.

i think that if he dropped it he should get you a new one... if one of your friends dropped it you would think they would get u a new one. Ask him if he will get u a new, shiny OTB fresh, new iphone smelling one
