    Default iPhone SIM Unlocked Already?

Hi everyone, I saw a website that claimed they SIM unlocked the iPhone in Taiwan...

Anyone here that understands the language used on that site care to translate?

    http://www.phonedaily.com/news/?news_id=5903

It looks legit from the videos, also notice the service provider ID on the upper left hand corner with a different service provider.

Edit: I spoke with a friend that knows Mandarin and he checked the site and told me it looks like they brought the phone from the US and it's just roaming over there. But we're not sure yet on what's the status.

I translated the page on babelfish and it says that the owner of the store brought back 2 iPhones from the US to demonstrate them in Taiwan. They are roaming on ATT network.

The lady you see in the clip is the owner of a cell phone distributor. She sent 2 of her guys to states and lined up for iphone launch.

The phone is still on ATT network and roaming to CHT network in Taiwan. I went to the store the next day after this went on news and confirmed not yet unlock.

I think the phone might have been unlocked because one of the screenshots showed the phone using ChungHua Network, which is one service in Taiwan.

Before the iPhone was launched, a pre-release series of 500 iPhone were given to dealers etc. The pre-release series are not sim locked!

Would it not be possible to compare the softeware between the pre-release and the release version to see the difference?
