i think the communication modul is damaged or has a problem.

it doesn't recognize the simcard, Itunes say it too "please insert simcard"
the wifi modul is on the same modul.

any idea what we can test or try to repair ?

i thought the hardest step comes later, no i have a ipod... :-(

    greetz

ps jailbreak still works, but it doesn't starts a update so i can't change
chmod to executable and try a bbupdate...

On MacRumor, a user had the same 1011 error on non hacked iPhone. I quote his message: "this morning i talked to apple support and they could not resolve the issue, even after bringing someone from the engineering group on the line. they said they had no reports of similar problems in their database. anyway, the long and the short of it is that i had to make an appointment at the applestore for tonight and if they can't fix it, they are supposed to give me a new phone. what a pain in the ass. at least the apple support folks were easy to deal with."

Ive modded my phone many times and restored to 1.0 and 1.1 in the past. I dont think its anything we have done to the phone, I think there is something different about 1.2 and modded phones. Has anybody with a modded phone done the update where it failed and asked you to restore?

I`ve been trying to fix this for hours now, rebooting pc/phone, using different usb ports, trying to downgrade, nothing seems to work "iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1011)"

OK but what if your iphone has been restored and you still have no Wi-Fi and now for the kicker, no more terminal.

only IPHUC that works, what do you with that?
