I found a guy selling 1.0.2 iphones 8GB for $350. He says they are unlocked, brand new, with the plastic seals still over them; no fingerprints. If I pay upfront, he will give them to me by the end of the week. Otherwise, they'll be here within a week or two. I can also pay $400 on the spot end of this week...

Does this make any sense? He says he gets them from a supplier who buys them in bulk - but how? Apple doesn't sell more than 5 per customer in TOTAL. Is there any possible way how this could potentially not be a scam?

He says I can open it up and use it and if there's anything odd at all whatsoever I don't pay and walk out. I'm obviously going to go check it out...but is there any possible way this could be real? Unfortunately there's no site I can reference; I just have his email.

Scam. you can buy bulk but will never less than $399+ tax (exception refurbished). Most likely you are going to get mugged and came out $350 poorer. Good luck, let us know I am eager to know. =)

Maybe they are the fake iPhones which sell in Ottawa for $350??

Completely agree. I don't see how it can't be a scam b/c it is $399 + tax unless refurbished, which is $350 + tax. Either way, you shouldn't go alone.

These could be stolen iPhones. A lot of iPhones were lost in shipping transit.

if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
