Default iPhone restoring firmware back to 1.0.2 after 1.1.1 us released

So with firmware 1.1.1 coming soon for the iPhone if it were to relock the iPhone is there be a way to go back to firmware 1.0.2? If so what are the steps?

I know you can downlaod iPhone firmware version 1.0.2 here:

Take the 1.0.2 release of the firmware and place it in the folder that iTunes puts it's updates in (can't remember locatation, search for it), cut your network connection (pull plug or disable network wifi conn.), and you iTunes will find your 1.0.2 f/w and believe it is the latest. After that follow normal restore procedure.

GOT different issue somehow similar, I activated one Iphone and it is working flawlessly just to find out that I did the whole process with FW 1.0 and now Itunes is "suggesting: update and or restore, I am not sure if doing either will mess up the unlcoking. did anyone has the same issue? and how did you solve it; in other words is it safe to upgrade the firmware 1.0. 2 without risks?

Hubbards told you...You need to unplug your internet connection and iTunes will not find 1.1.1 because it cant check the server.

on itunes press click the restore button while pressing "shift" it will show you a file open dialog box asking you to choose a file to use as the restore source.

Choose the file with the 1.0.2 restore image and that will do the trick
