I read in the beginning of December that the purchase limitation of 2 iphones changed to 5, is this correct or still the 2-pieces limit is relevant?

I think the limit is still two. As I ordered one before and it was delivered. But when I ordered two later on, they said you've exceeded your limit!

In stores, the limit is 5. Some Apple employees will ask for ID and check your name againt their internal "do not sell to" list. If you are on it, you are not getting a phone. Others will not bother and just sell you the max of 5 only checking your ID to make sure it matches your credit card name. Good luck.
