    Default iPhone Photos Won't Delete

There are some photos in my iPhone that will not delete off the camera roll after importing into iPhoto 09. It's a bug, and they have been stuck there for months now. The only method I believe to get rid of them is to manually delete each and every photo in there. Anyone encounter this bug and have any solutions?

    Thanks.

All photos on the iPhone are accessible when the iPhone is plugged in via USB -- it mounts as a USB hard drive and has the photos available through the normal Finder / Explorer interface. If you're having trouble deleting files through iPhoto, try deleting them from this interface. Last but not least, you should always be able to delete the photos from the iPhone itself through the menu -- but I can appreciate if you have a lot of photos this may be a nuisance.

This way should fix the issue about how to delete iPhone photo.
Step 1: Launch the Photos app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select the Camera Roll option.
Step 3: Tap the Edit button at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Tap the photo you want to delete, which will display a red circle with a white checkmark inside of it.
Step 5: Press the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Touch the Delete Photo button to complete the process.
If you want to delete multiple photos, you can select more than one picture in Step 4 above, then complete the rest of the tutorial.

To delete photos from a camera roll but still keep them in an album, you should locate the camera roll in the Photos application. You will get an option of tapping the photos you want to get rid of, and then you click on "Add to" icon to save them in the album available.

I have had devices with similar issues. As n1ckn4m3 pointed out, it will generally work when you hook it up to a PC. It's quite annoying. Does that mean that it is a glitch with the product, or are gadgets made that way? I wanted to take my iPhone back because of it.

Any professional recovery tool can retrieve those encrypted photos easily. So, there is any effective way to permanently erase some unwanted photos from your iPhone.
The most secure way is using professional third-party software like iPhone Data Eraser, which is a reliable and effective tool to smash photos and other personal data.

Photo Library contains a collection of all your imported photos from iTunes on your computer.
Hence, you can delete photos form iPhone directly.

Apple does not allow any changes to be made to imported photos.

Thus, to delete these photos, simply connect your iPhone to computer and launch iTunes.
Here go to Library and click on iPhone tab. Next go to Photos tab and uncheck the box for "Sync Photos from" and tap on Apply button.

Now all your Photo Library photos will automatically be removed from iPhone.
