I am on MAC. always love it

Any idea for windows?
I have lost all photos & contacts, never before had itunes, no backup.

Is there a solution to dump the disk & extract / undelete the files?

The easiest way would be to mount the iPhone volume on a PC. You need dd and an SSH-server on the PC, both is already installed on the Mac. I have been reading dd for Windows is available, same should be for a SSH-server. The iPhone has to be jailbroken, OpenBSD on it (is done when Cydia is installed) and OpenSSH needs to be installed aswell.
Sorry, i never tried that one on a Windows-PC, have done it on my Mac several times plus once on a Linux box.

I have no access to a mac & or a PC that will run OSx

However I did manage to solve by running Ubuntu Live CD, installing SSH server & then using the normal dd method.

Only for classic iPod, does not work for iPod Touch or iPhone. Please read the description at least before posting a "solution"

if i have restore my iphone 3g 2 times (not do other thinks just restored or jailbracked 2 times)
then i able to recover my photos ? (after 2 time restore) ?
