iPhone not recognized in Windows 7
Evaluating Windows 7 RC 7100
When I dock my iphone Windows 7 reports a 'USB device not recognized' error message.
I have installed the latest iTunes.
I also extracted the AppleMobileDeviceSupport file and installed it in Vista compatibility mode but the same error is reported.
Any idea's

It works for me in 7. That is bizarre. Try installing iTunes again with no UAC.

I have without success.
Thinking back it did work when I first installed 7. Just lately the phone has been discharging it's battery within 48hrs when before the battery would last for around a week. I wonder if the phone is faulty?
My phone is a 2G running 2.1

Two things, firstly, does it work on Kalyway? My iPhone runs on my Hackbook with Kalyway 10.5.6 happily. Secondly, is there a guide to running Kalyway on your mobo, I have the same in my desktop and I'd like to get it running on there as well.

According to this the iPhone is not supported in Win 7 beta.

I swear to god it works mate. You running x86 or x64? I'm running x86 if thats any help.

I have managed to figure it out.
I found that the connection between the USB cable and the dock had become dislodged slightly, once the connection had been re-established the phone was recognised and installed.
Case closed
um........is not an answer

I realise that it was a simple USB issue for the OP, but for the sake of completeness, I can confirm that Win7 RC 7100 64-bit also recognises the iPhone 3G.
