Default iPhone freezes when apple logo appears

    Hi all,
I have an iPhone with FW 1.0.2
I tried to activate it using ibrickr, but in some stage during the activation (when I should press the "sweet" button in iBrickr dialog) my iPhone restarted and freezed on the apple logo screen on startup.

I waited for long time but it freezed on that screen.
I also tried to restore the FW (version 1.0.2) using iTunes but this didn't help.
The restore process works but the iPhone freezes on boot time (when the gray small apple logo appear).

I don't know what else can I try to do besides restoring my iPhone using iTunes.

    Please help!

There is no solution, just waiting for the firmware 1.1.1 dev team hack.

One of the mistakes I may done is that I used iTunes 7.4 with iBrickr (and not 7.3)

The work around to this problem is:
    # Connect phone to dock/USB cable, and hold down home button and power button for about 10 seconds until phone turns off.
    # When it turns off, release the power button, but continue holding the home button. After about 10 seconds the computer will detect the iphone in restore mode, and itunes should tell that the phone needs to be restored.
    # Hold down SHIFT-key (Windows) or OPTION/ALT-key (Mac) when clicking the Restore button, and select the file you downloaded previously.
    # Let the restore complete and ignore the error at the end. Now your phone should show a rectangle, but don't worry about it.
    # Run AppTap (or iNdependence) to jailbreak your phone - it will fix it even though you get errors.

    ReVan!
    1. What FW version you mean in step3? you mean 1.0.2 right?
    2. Do you mean that this problem is fixable? no one in the thread that bootzilla pointed out confirmed that this workaround works. however, I tried the steps you suggested but I don't see the "rectangle" in step4. and apptap in stage0:0 looks for the iPhone and never find it.
    2. I tried to hold the power and home buttons to make the "rectangle" appears, and then ran apptap, it failed on some stages and then stuck.

    Thanks guys for your responses!

my 2 cents, when i sent mine in for repair the issue/error said "error some number - freezes; not at apple logo" apple must know about it.
