Exclamation iPhone Firmware ver 1.1.1? New Home button options? International?

The iPhone refund page seems to indicate something new is coming in a future firmware. If you scroll down to the end of this page https://supportform.apple.com/200709/main?id=qp
you'll notice that the example shown shows firmware version 1.1.1 and if you look closer you notice new Home button options as well as an International option. Could this be the double click of the Home button to bring up music controls on the fly just like the iPod Touch?

Let's hope that they start dissecting these firmwares just like the PSP and we get some nice hacked up custom firmwares with all the freedom the PSP has evolved to have. Only time will tell what those of us with unlocked phones will be able to do regarding updates.

Sorry to sound like an ass, but what would be the benefit of this? iPhone OS is software-based, and many of us have already customized it to our heart's content. I can't think of anything in addition to the unlock that I'd do to the firmware.

Well for example we find some sort of exploit such as allowing the phones to be unlocked but they plug it up in newer firmware. They could take the parts that still allow phones to run unlocked with the added features of the new firmwares. This would be a great advantage of those of us with unlocked phones.

Oh cool, so you've already added apps to take videos, send MMS, buy itunes over wifi, turn up the volume of the speaker phone and carry out cut and paste? Please send them to me immediately!

Look, it's not that our guys are less capable, just that they have less resources available and hacked tools rather than a proper toolset. We will undoubtedly want the features in new updates!

The home button option is almost certainly for the music control function a la iPod Touch. When you double click the home button, the music control buttons come up, even if the phone is asleep (but playing music, of course).

The international option further solidifies the release of the iPhone in europe

One interesting thing I noticed is that the iTunes music store is absent on the home screen shot. Hopefully a fluke, but I would be very pissed if they decided not to port it to iphone (why on earth they would do this, IDK)
