    No. 1.1.1 will be locked to whichever network you're countries iPhone is meant to be on.

    If you have a US iPhone and try and update to 1.1.1 it will be locked to AT&T.

    So glad you mentioned that. So, are you saying that 1) there are different firmware per country that will be destributed based on the CIDR block your ip address has been allocated out of or other localhost computer variable(s), or, 2) that the firmware is generic and will automatically determine which network you should be locked onto by......what? Your phone's model number? The first 5 digits of your IMEI, your Serial number, parts of your ICCID, your default country settings, an environment (as in env) setting, a combination of the above, something else?
