Hi,

Any one got this error i belive its a phone error tried it on 3 machines now xp vista and os x same thing using itunes 7.3 on all.

i think its to do with the software currently on the phone but not sure.

any ideas guys spoke to apple and they want the unit back?

Did you try make a restore holding the home button??

You must hold that button until the process is finished.

yes tried that with no luck. seems im completely screwed.

that just happened to me an hour ago.

I had error (1).

went to apple store on Fifth avenue.

the genius guy pressed the home button and power button to get into recov.

then plugged in usb, then itunes.

he fixed it

but now i cant jailbreak?

Just happened to me a little while ago...the way i fixed it was i quit itunes, held the home and off button til the iphone shut off. Also went into library/itunes/iphonesoftware and deleted the backup file so only the restore file was in the folder. Then plug the iphone into a different usb port Then opened up itunes and did a restore This seemed to fix the restore error for me.

yep already tried all these but no luck im afraid.

I Read some where that this could be because of the restore file is there any way. i can check this file out to make sure it is not corrupted

still no joy now i gotta fork out £80 odd to return it to the states and get it fixed.

I had the same problem and finallyafter trouble shooting , i founf that it is cable problem, tried with friends cable and it worked like charm.
