Hey guys..

I have a huge problem.. After connecting my iphone to the JBL Musicbox the display went all crazy and the phone got warm.. so i decided to switch it of for a while. When trying to turn it on again after the impression it cooled down, it wouldn't turn on anymore..

Connecting to USB --> NOTHING / NO RESPONSE
Connecting to AC --> NOTHING / NO RESPONSE

So basically my phone won't do anything. I software unlocked the phone so the chances to change my phone for another one or getting it repaired in a local apple shop seemed to be none exsistent. However i tried to talk to those guys from apple germany ---> no chance of getting a new one since it's an american phone.. So i called apple u.s ---> no chance of getting a new one since my iphone serial appeared as not activated. So I'm pretty much screwed. Did the batterie die or is anything else broken?? just don't know anything about it... it's just black!

For any ideas regarding this problem i would be very thankful..
PS: I tried resetting, etc ---> does not work of course.

Anyone else having this same problem?

I had the exact same problem this week, but I was using the Apple iPod HiFi !!!!!
my iPhone became VERY VERY hot, and is completely dead now ...

oh same thing hapenned to me in september... went inside the store and replaced it for a brand new one...some accessories arent compatible with the iphone so basically its fried now

I used the phone with that accessory twice before.. the third time the phone died.

That is the Accessory i am talking about ;-)

My iPhone was successfully software unlocked and it worked like a dream for 1 month.. nothing was wrong with it at all..
The Musicbox fucked my phone thats for sure..
The problem is that i can't go into a store and change it since i am using an american iphone in germany and they only switch german phones..
So what should i do now.. order and replace the battery? or do you guys think something is wrong with the commboard as well.. don'Ät have a clue, but i am guessing it's the battery.. just want to get sure..

I have now seen this on quite a few iPhones, some then carry on running normally but fail to actually charge the battery, the end user thinks the iPhone only requires a new battery, some just die totally as soon as connected.

From the iPhones I have repaired out of 6 seen with this issue it's been the logic board that has failed.

Got my iPhone freid today when I got a new car stereo install.

Installed the Alpine 9887head unit with ipod cable. Once i plug in, the player fried my phone, that's the last time I see my phone working.

RIP...iPhone.
