If this iphonesimfree truly is a hoax, maybe we can get five trinnies together and buy the Turbosim pack. I know of another trinnie that already has an iphone so we need one more fo the turbosim. What do you say ??

Anywhere you go, there is always a trini.

If the software unlock proves to be a hoax, I don't mind going the Turbosim way when they are available.

i was just going to buy a SuperSim from ebay and have my employer in the US buy me the iphone and have the phone and supersim card/reader/writeer sent to me in a couple weeks, (before the 15th)

Turbo Sims are too expensive and hard to come by...

PM me if you wish to talk more (or keep the discussion here if you wish to share with other trinidadians and caribbean brothers and sisters)

How do you know the sims here in Trinidad (digicel and bmobile) are COMP128V1. If they are not the supersim method will not work.

Good question. I can find out from a friend at Digicel and hope that they give us the answer we are looking for.

I went to Digicel and bmobile. They all looked at me if I was from outer space. So I hope your friend at Digicel knows more. I also went to some cell shops in POS but again they were not very helpful.

older sim cards wouldn't be compliant (i know my own from ~10 years ago prob wouldn't)

but the newer ones esp from digicell should def work..

hey, i am willing to try - i KNOW for sure i can can sell it if it doesnt or wait for a software unlock from our great dev team here online

I've done the hardware hack and I'm running a Bmobile chip from Barbados. I have 5 Turbosims if anyone is interested. As soon as I get back home I will be trying the Turbosim method on my cousin's phone (bmobile) and will post the results.

It's the other way around with the silvercard method. The older ones should work (v1) with above method. The v3 does NOT work with above method.
