iTunes tells me that on my iPhone is 1.5GB other stuff installed (displayed in Orange).
What please is this *other* Stuff ? I can't find anything with the iPhoneBrowser.

Does anybody know what this is and can help me to free this space ?

I dn't wanna do all my *unlocking" stuff again, back to 1.1.1 and so on...
No other ways to fix that issue ?

oh no no, if its unlocked ALREADY, you wont have to unlock it again. you just restore the firmware..it wont touch the baseband.

You mean I do directly a restore in iTunes for the fw 1.1.2 ?
And this don't kill my anysim and jailbreak ?

I think it won't kill the unlock but it will kill the jailbreak

NO NEED FOR RESTORE.
It's simply because some files are misplaced, or the iTunes Library got messed up. Maybe you used SwapTunes.
SSH to your iPhone. Delete /private/var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/ and iTunes_Control2 if you see it. So far, only WinSCP can delete directories easily.

It worked for me very good, the swaptunes realy *killed* my filesystem
After delete all of this stuff and now I have space agein
Make a new sync with iTunes right now....

Hey, I have the same problem on my 1st Gen iphone software 2.0. but the private/var/root/media folder is empty. I do find itunes_control under private/var/mobile/media. Should I delete it here instead to fix the problem?
