that the capacity is only 7,1GB - it is on O2-UK iPhone with firmware 1.1.1

Mine shows 7,3 GB, perhaps it is cause be the new firmware

Yes, that is what I meant.

So when Apple put some new feature in it will take some user space, so maybe after few updates and new programs we will have only 4 GB

Have you ever bought HDD for your computer? If you are you know that ie in 500GB HDD you have only about 470GB free space.
