Default iPhone as a basic MP3 Player?

Is there any way to just play MP3 files on the iPhone from a folder? I basically want to copy music into a folder on the phone (via SCP probably) and then load an app like Winamp that will read music from that folder and play it back. I don't care about gapless playback or album art or anything, and I don't want to use iTunes to sync anything. Just a basic disk access MP3 player. It'd be nice if it played m3u playlists, but that's not even necessary.

    Any ideas?

Anything for 2.0.x firmware? I don't see hardly anything on installer.

you could try vlc4iphone... has playlist management, video is a lil choppy, but audio is fine... , of course you need to donate to zodttd to get acces to the beta repository ...

Also for the next 2 weeks "Air Sharing" app can be downloaded for free from the app store, works well for audio and video.

Might be one of the few solutions for un-jailbroken phones ...

You could wait for media monkey to support 2.0 and use TuneWiki from Cydia if you are jailbroken.
