    Default iPhone to Apple question

Ok so today, I convinced apple, after the fourth try that my iPhone was bricked due to the update not a third party software install. They are sending me a loaner phone and will repair mine provided they do not detect any third party software. Well the truth is I have installed third party software onto the phone. My question is, using ibrickr and itunes, is there a way to remove all proof of third party software ever being installed onto the phone? I have approx. three days to take care of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have reflashed the firmware to 1.0.2, do you think I should restore to 1.1.1. before sending to Apple?

If you unlocked your iphone before using anything other than IPSF, you will get a sim card error after you upgrade to 1.1.1 which means that the apple employee would be able to tell easily.

Try restoring it to 1.1.1 and when it says installing/restoring, plug it out of the usb so that your OS is not fully installed.

Do you think that that will be enough to throw them off? Is there a way to crash the phone through the software?

I was also told something about a gophone SIM possibly generating the same "invalid SIM" error as the unlocked phones. Is there any truth to this?

if you unlocked with modified baseband... they would detect that if you dont restore the virgin baseband... as for other things... a basic restore would do it... also check your /var/root/Library/ for 3rd party software traces...

If you listen to the latest TWiT.tv podcast, John Dvorak suggests connecting a car battery across the terminals to really brick it!
