First off, Youtube works on any network, whether it's AT&T, Wifi, or Rogers if you roam (or any other edge network you can roam onto).

Second, the only time Youtube doesn't work is with the hacked activation.

Third, making or receiving calls doesn't work with the hacked activation either.

Fourth, coincidentally, the guy claims that they're not allowed to make calls.

Conclusion: Sounds like the guy saw a hacked activated iphone.
