I wanna know if the next firmware 4.1 is jailbreakable or not? If yes, than do u hv any idea of the release date?
I am stuck on the firmware 4.0.2..:S

As far as jailbreak for iOS4.2 is concerned, Dev Team will have better answer when it is released.

As per gsmarena.com it will be released on September 8

Do not upgrade or restore to 4.1 until there is a clear message from the iPhone Dev Team that 4.1 is safe and a public jailbreak is available. Keep an eye on this site Dev-Team Blog for status updates from the iPhone Dev team.

Just because some hackers can jailbreak 4.1 does not guarantee that this will ever become a public jailbreak. Maybe the jailbreak doesn't work every time. Or maybe they want to save the jailbreak for iOS 4.2 when it will work on all devices (including the iPad)

The rumours are that a jailbreak that is similar to spirit and jailbreak me will be released after iOS 4.1 - however these are just rumours at this stage.
