Default Iphone 3gs stuck in recovery mode

    Hi

I tried to jailbreak and unlock a 3GS 4.2.1 5.15.04 using jailbeakme and installing sn0wbreeze through cydia however it just kept searching when putting in a different sim.

I then updated the baseband to 06.15, then still had the same issue.

I then tried to update the phone to 4.3.5 through itunes which failed and now the phone is stuck in recovery mode.

Any ideas on getting this to work?

Either the phone is IMEI blacklisted (incredibly common for second hand phones in your country) or you have a hardware problem.
My suggestion is that you validate the ownership chain of this iPhone and call your carrier to confirm if the phone is blacklisted or not. If it is blacklisted, then just give up and ask for your money back from the seller (if you can). It's a jail sentence in your country to own/use tools to bypass IMEI blacklist (not that there are any tools that can do this for an iPhone 3GS) so keep in mind that we aren't going to help you break the law in your country.

Phone was working on Vodafone prior to me trying to unlock it and after I had ran snowbreeze through Cydia. I know it is definitely not blacklisted as I called Vodafone prior to see if I could get it unlcked for free and they requested the imei.
