    Default iphone 2g problem > Can't Restore

    hi i have an iphone which is on recovery mode and it has older version as cable sign is like old iphone but i cant get it working when i try to update it online or by pressing shift it goes off and then stucks on apple logo and doesnt go further and on i tune i see message waiting for iphone. I have done this putting phone in dfu mode as well but it doesnt do nothing when i see message waiting for iphone i left the phone for even 25 mins but still doesnt go further what can be the problem and can it be fixed plz

    Are you sure you are in DFU?

    yeah i am 100% sure my phone is in dfu mode as it shows white lcd when it comes out from black screen and it detects the driver when i put it in dfu mode. i am trying to update it to the latest fw 2.1 and tried both ways with shift button and without shift button mean online but no luck thanks for ur reply

    even though sometimes it seems like it's in DFU mode, it actually isn't and that's when you seem to have all sort of problem..so try and put the iPhone in DFU mode again if u can and that may solve the problem..

    Also op.. we haven't asked if you are running mac or windows but regardless make sure your computer is up to date and maybe try uninstalling itunes and reinstalling again.

    What is the history of your phone? Has it been pwned/neutered/stronZiphoned??? It can't be that you just have an old phone and it won't update to the latest firmware. Any error codes?
