Unhappy iPhone 2g Lost but close to home

    Hi everyone,

I seemed to have lost my iphone back in march. After a month of looking for it i gave up. last Week of May, I was working on my modem at home and realized that the iPhone was connected to it through wifi. I began my search for it again with the thought that it is somewhere close by. For it to be lost for that long and still have battery life to connect to wifi, seems to be out of the question. Someone must be using it, or atleast has charged it.

My question is, is there anyway of tracking the iPhone down. I know the chances are very slim, in fact the answer may even be no, but im going crazy just thinking about it. I took my sim card out of it to put in my blackberry so i cant just call it.

    Thanks for reading the post

Is your iphone jailbroken and did you install ssh by any chance ?
If you did install ssh, I can help you remote install a location app which will tell you exactly where it is by sending back the GPS co-ordinates.

It all depends on whether you installed ssh or not.

Could you tell me which app allows you to transmit the GPS coordinates over SSH ? I can't find one that does that.
