Well there's this girl i know that ive been helping out with her phone,

first time she brought it to me was because for some reason her dialer app would just crash when opened after a few seconds...

so i restored/reunlocked etc etc and it was fine.

2 weeks later she's back with the same problem....

i dont know wtf it is she's doing but i want to find out to avoid seeing her again in a couple of weeks.

anyone know what might be causing this?

When searching i could only find this problem related to older firmwares such as 1.1.3. and 1.1.4 but nothing 2.1 related!

Maybe she installed some incompatible apps...

Did she installed Kate? This application causes sometimes this problem. Check it.

This problem arises when a person restores from 1.x.x to 2.x.x and uses the 1.x.x made by itunes on the 2.x.x

SOLUTION
DFU restore and dont use back up.
BAck up contacts calender and mail by syncing with outlook on win or Mail.app, address.app and ical on mac and sync back latrer

If u have not used back up then i suggest Jailbraking and installing bossprefs from cydia
In the more option there is an option to fix user permissions or something like that
that will prob fix the problem
