Someone organized me an iphone (first gen) which I already received unlocked. Unfortunately the reception is so bad that I can hardly use it. Sometimes the reception jumps from 1 to 3 bars and back whilst being on the same spot. I had the antenna replaced but the problem remained. I now downgraded to firmware 1.1.4 with baseband 04.04. It seems as if the reception got slightly better. Could it be that my problem is really software related and that downgrading to an even lower baseband version will solve my problem? Does anyone have a similar problem.
