If OpenSSH is installed on your 1.1.4 iPhone use PuTTY (Windows) or Terminal (Mac), connect via WiFi, log into the iPhone and type
rm /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist
restart the iPhone and you will be set.

You can also remove keychain.db file. It will, however, wipe out all phone stored passwords.
Volkspost advice, however, is way more safer.

one would try to use a custom ramdisk to hack it. thats a bit more heavy, most of the cases a restore and new setup would be easier. after that (almost) all data could be put back via sync.

One way is to extract the ramdisk from iLiberty, use a hex-editor to replace code in there with the commands to delete the plist. Then you would have to use iPHUC (only working up to firmware 1.1.4), install the additional libraries, put the iPhone in recovery mode and use iPHUC to run the ram-disk code.
This is a lot of hassle, in most cases the best way is just to restore the iPhone.

You can connect to iPhone by Total Commander with T-PoT as well. It's, hm... WinSCP which doesn't need SSH installed and runing on iPhone. If you are on a Mac you can use DiskAid.
// They don't have command mode (both) so you have to remove it manually.

the iLiberty one is too much of a hassel.. i got the quickpwn RD but i dont think its a complete one.... it would be nice to have a base RD to play with and a tut that tells about it lol
