Trying to do the job is different on iPhones with firmware <= 1.1.4 and iPhone with Firmware >=2.0.0. For <=1.1.4 iPhones the modifying the one from iLiberty is the way to go.

You'd have to create a custom firmware with Pwnagetool but hack it the way that the iPhone does not get restored to it (=wipe old data) but "thinks" it gets updated. This is not easy at all.

Has to be done with Xpwn. You first create a matching custom firmware with pwnageTool, then use Xpwn to modify. There is lots of terminal hacking involved, plus use of xpwntool.
Again, I would go for a clean restore.

    go DFU mode
Get the latest info for NoAccSplash Here
Currently it should work on iOS 4.x - 6.x

If you're just trying to get past a passode, and your phone is jailbroken, the fastest solution is to use DiskAid/iPhoneBrowser/iFunBox to remove two files from your system:

    • /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist
    • /var/Keychains/keychain-2.db

and then immediately restart the phone (by turning it off and on again).

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Probably not, if it only affects jailbroken users...
