    Default installer.app for 1.1.1 yet?

is there an easy way to do the installer.app on my AT&T iPhone yet, or are complicated workarounds needed?

i checked iphone.nullriver.com and it still says it does not work with 1.1.1 - but a lot of people seem to be talking about their 3rd party apps on 1.1.1

sorry if this was talked about already, I looked and couldn't find any info.

    thanks!

people are extracting the install.app from the app tapp installler and copying that file across. So the file will work if installed in that fashion.

Currently there is not automated installer from pc or windows side and hence both sides are technically correct.

    I'm on Mac OSX.

Do we know if they are planning on/ working on a automated installer?

    Any idea?

Did you jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch correctly?

    Cheers

Well, I could install the software by scp, and I could ssh my phone if you mean correctly. Could you be more specific?

If you can SSH, you can copy the installer in iPhone.

Like I said, I already managed to copy the installer.app. But everytime I downloaded a package from installer i.e. Nikotalkie, it kept saying could not unpack the package

I assume you try to execute Installer.app from the shell like this:

    #/Applications/Installer.app

    instead you should enter:

    #/Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    This should work:

    1. Dowload installer.app zip - http://r*a*p*i*d*s*h*a*r*e*.com/file...er111.zip.html
    2. Extract .zip file and copy installer.app to /Applications folder using SCP
    3. Set permissions of /Applications/Installer.app/installer to 755
    4. Reboot your iPhone
    5. Run installer and update it.
