I can't use iBrikr because i'm running on 1.1.1. So how do I install a .pxl file without it? I want to install showtime, a video capturing app, but all i have is the .pxl. Help is greatly appreciated.

restore to 1.1.4 and unlock, jailbreak, activate with iplus 2.0.

you will have the installer in the springboard and will be able to install all the aplications you need.

or use iliberty to jailbreak your 1.1.1 and it will install the installer icon also.

The application that I want to install is not in the installer.app repositories, and nor do I know what repository showtime is in.

You can use iPCsuite. It also can install .PXL file.
