Sheesh, I'm sorry for yammering on about this, but i've seen a billion threads about people having problems with jailbreak activate install etc. Double digit steps to get things going etc.. Seriously folks, it's really easier using wiNstaller.

Download wiNstaller.zip, extract it and run winstallerGUI.exe

Click on Install Application

Choose the directory named SimFree.app which you extracted from SimFree.app.zip

Wait until it is done. Thats it! It will jailbreak and activate your phone as well as install the app.

All i can say is I know at least 10 people who have used it to install apps with no issue whatsoever.

if i have already activated my phone with the flawless activation that is the same as point and click activation with you tube can i run winstaller to put the app from iphone simfree on my i phone???????????note that i have already jailbreak my phone also to add app tap installer....

Easiest steps on brand new iphone is

1.download & install latest version of itunes
2.do a full restore of iphone (power off phone by holding power then do the slide, then hold the home key on the bottom as you connect it to itunes...itunes should be running)
3.download apptapp for windows (i used vista ultimate & worked 1rst try)

Run this tool, it will Jailbreak your iphone and install installer.app on your iphone.
4.download phone & youtube activation

Run Activation.bat & follow on scree instructions

you will now be using the latest version for the iphone 1.02 & the latest itunes and your phone has been activated

now just email or upload the .app file from simfree and run it!!!

dont forget to set up your wifi first

Will Youtube work with wInstaller?

Nope, YouTube doesn't work with wiNstaller... Anty ideas on how to activate it?

1. Run winstaller deactivate
2. reboot
3. Run PACAY

Done!

i have just done this and all works even youtube!
restore phone first!
then run winstaller and install simfree.app, jailbreak & activate
then deactivate with winstaller
then run activate.bat from the PACAY.

all works!

Do you need a legitime SimFree.app.zip or is it downloadable on the torrent side?

Has anyone actually used the wINstaller to unlock their phone using the IPSF solution?

I unlocked mine using the free http://iphone.unlock.no method (stop paying for unlock!!!). Worked like a charm, even Edge is working with a non-AT&T carrier now.

I wonder what happens if I run PACAY now? I'm not sure I want to deactivate it. Is there any way to enable Youtube only?
