INSIDE SCOOP!!! URGENT!!! Iphone update re-locks the iphone
It's serious. I've heard from a genuine Apple expert. He says the new update (1.1.1 ) will mostly RE-lock the unlocked phones and clear up the spring-board from installing apps.. He says his unlocked phone got Bricked when he installed the update.

DING DING DING!!!!
I dont think its the new itunes that will lock your phone again, but the new software update, for example 1.0.3
the first 2 software updates were completely GARBAGE none of the major issues were fixed...even if the 3rd update is AWESOME, i will have to pass on it, i'd rather be able to use my iphone then keep it in the drawer

what a dilemma, apple more than anyone here wants their phones unlocked, like that they increase their iphone sales so everyone can use it with any GSM network, too bad, they sold their soul to AT&T

Just go to itunes, press edit, prefrences, and uncheck "Check for updates automatically"

that's true but even if they check automatically, they ask you if you want to update? so you can still bail out and say NO
