Incorrect handling of suggestions when using international keyboard dictionaries
I've downloaded the swedish keyboard dictionary from
http://rapid***share.com/files/82028...01-07.rar.html
I've put these files in the directory /System/Library/KeyboardDictionaries/
The dictionary works as expected, EXCEPT that I don't get any suggestions for words containing international characters, like "övrigt".
You would think that this is a problem with the dictionary, but it is not!
When I rename the wordlist-files to en_GB, en_US, de_DE or it_IT instead of sv_SE and replace the existing wordlist everything works as expected! I now get correct suggestions. When writing "ovrigt" I get the suggestion "övrigt".
Proof:

So, the problem is in the iPhone, not in the wordlist.
I've verified it using the official german dictionary and renamed it to sv_SE. Everything works, except - as expected - when writing "uber" I don't get suggestions for "über". Which of cause works when choosing the german language/dictionary.
I've tried this on both 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 iPhones.
Now to my question.
Why doesn't iPhone give me any suggestions when choosing swedish, danish, portuguese, etc as language/keyboard? It seems as if the wordlist only works when using official languages (like english, german, italian).
Is there a modification that can be done so that iPhone handle international word suggestions correctly, when using non-official language, as swedish?
