"I have tmo he has att. I think tmo is better. IMO...."
That's funny cause I also have a friend who uses an iPhone on tmo and HIS reception is the one that sucks compared to my 1.1.1 att iPhone. Imo.
I get the feeling you don't like me. You tend to rip apart posts by me in several threads. My point had nothing to do with, my city is better than yours. It had to do with since I live in NYC there are a LOT of towers here in a small area. My reception is defiantly better in NYC and more consistent city wide than other cities, especially small cities (like when I visit my hometown). Anyway, I basically was trying to say its a good place to compare overall sound quality and reception. A different city my have better reception on AT&T than T-Mobile if they have more AT&T towers, so it would be a poor choice to compare call quality except in your area only. NYC IMO is a good city to compare the signals since both companies have many towers. Get it?
P.S. my city is better than yours. :p

Now just call att and tell them your going on a trip to the uk and you need the phone unlocked for that time period. they have to unlock the phone for you. its the damn law. i have T-mobile and i've unlocked several phones through them. Some one should give them a call and ask because its been 3 months since iphone came out and im 99% sure they're not going to ask you for the ticket for the trip. (but you never know its att.)

yeah "3-months" huh? "its the damn law" huh? sorry but no. it isnt. its just a practice. notice how it refers to it as "att's standard policy" instead of "the damn law". they dont HAVE to do shit. sorry. kinda like that "its my legal right to get 1 phone call when arrested!" no it isnt. it's just a practice. a privilage. just be an asshole while being booked and see if you get your damn call. then when you get to your court arreignment complain to the judge and see what you get...... (
of course... you know.... that;s just something i read about...somewhere) somethings are just practices but people tend to accept them as laws.

dude this topic is over.
1)there is a law that protects you from getting sued for unlocking your cell. Nothing more
2)no there is NO law in the u.s. That says carriers HAVE to unlock it for you
and
3)quality aside tmo is alot smaller network than att so if your gonna choose one you obviously go for the one with more coverage.
There. This thread is done. Since we cant go off topic the mods can go ahead and close this thread as there is nothing else to discuss here. Move along folks....

BTW it shows SUNCOM carrier because it is the network Partner and soon to be subsidiary.
Actually TMO does have coverage in NC and SC, true its roaming, at least for the time being.(Purchase of Suncom)

And as far as "Far Superior", according to JD Power & Associates, in 36 of the top 50 markets across T-mobile has better coverage than ANY other carrier(published).
And as far as the deATTh star, they were Apple's 2nd choice. T-Mobile was first, because they are known for far superior customer service and customer loyalty, which is more in line with Apple's philosophy.

dude verizon was the first and only other choice for apple. And as for "jd p & a" that don't really mean shit ..... There isn't any independent survey in the world that is accurate. Every carrier has conducted a survey that says theyre the best.
