iActivator not showing full filesystem?
I am trying to follow the instructions from delicious monster to put their lights game on the iPhone (http://www.deliciousmonster.org/)
"1. Download iActivator and use it to "perform jailbreak" on your iPhone to allow access to the entire filesystem, which is necessary to upload applications.
"2. Install SSH (begin at step 3, skip step 5) on your iPhone, and follow the instructions on that page to copy the application to your iPhone. You may also need to run the command: chmod +x "/Applications/Lights Off.app/LightsOff""
I successfully jailbroke my phone. However, I can't seem to see the full file system. I see "iTunes_Control" and some other directories.
Hence the SSH installation (from here: http://www.winandmac.com/mobile/ipho...pps-in-iphone/) appears to take place, but doesn't work because it's not putting the files in the right places.
I get this output when running the SSH script:
"iPhone:/# /usr/sbin/: No such file or directory
iPhone:/# iPhone:/# /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/: No such file or directory
iPhone:/# iPhone:/# /bin/: No such file or directory
iPhone:/# iPhone:/# iPhone:/# iPhone:/# iPhone:/# iPhone:/etc/# iPhone:/etc/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# /usr/bin/: No such file or directory
iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# /usr/lib/: No such file or directory
iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/init.d/# iPhone:/etc/dropbear/# iPhone:/etc/dropbear/# iPhone:/etc/dropbear/# "
Can anyone help?
I've been having the same problem. I've tried to jailbreak with iActivator, and it says that it was successful (and I can even get my activation.plist off the phone), but then if I run iPHUC (either built from the SVN or the new iphuc-universal binary), I can't see the entire filesystem, just the following files and dirs: DCIM, Photos, com.apple.itunes.lock_sync, com.apple.update.plist, iTunes_Control.
I've even tried jailbreaking by using iPHUC directly, following the instructions in How_to_Escape_Jail on the iPhoneDev wiki. That doesn't work either -- something is keeping it from seeing the root directory in the filesystem, it seems.
I've tried this on a phone that hadn't been hacked in any way -- I did a full restore to version 1.0.1 of the software and only synced my data onto it before I tried to jailbreak. I'm running an Intel iMac with 10.4.10.
Any ideas? I feel like I'm missing something really obvious here, since it seems like most people haven't been having this problem.
simply place the ssh folder inside the phonedmg folder before you run the script.
What phonedmg folder? I used iActivator to jailbreak.
