I tunes can not monitor new music files ?
Dear all,
I am very disappoint when using Itunes:
I have a music folder on computer, called D:\My_music and I put all music on it (mostly mp3 and WMA).
I can not find any function in itunes that allow the software monitor new files on that folder.
Whenever I need to sync Music Library in iTunes, I have to add the same folder to iTunes and it duplicate converting the old file.
Not only duplicate converting the old file, it cause the long time running.
Can anyone have better solution to keep sync between local Music folder and Itunes Library (then this library will sync with once in iPhone).
Cheers!
(sorry, but I would say FUCKING ITUNES, the stupid software!!!

more detail:
I can not use function : add file to library in iTunes because if I have 200 new files in difference 10 folders under "D:\My_music" then it's hard to do that task. iTunes should be able to recognize new files in "D:\My_music" , right ?

You can use the latest beta from Media Monkey. Works quite well with the iphone and will monitor you hard drive for new songs....

Never need it myself but you could try this.
You can even automate it with a windows script, see here for details.
I'm assuming you're doing all this on a windows PC because of the D: drive reference and the fact that you're using WMA formatted files, not sure if this will run the convert and import for the WMA files, if it doesn't I'd suggest keeping your MP3s and WMAs separated and importing WMAs manually.

It seems that you guys don't facing with this problem.
Yes, I am using Windows PC (I think that most of people still using this).
Please tell me how beautifull your life is with MacBook ? You don't need to care about sync between your local Music folder and iTunes's Music Library ??
I can't understand, why a important function like that is not supported.
