I think the new *#307# trick has killed my iPhone??

I was playing about with the new trick of getting into Safari. All was working great. I went to the iTunes site at apple.com then chose a song from the Top 25, this then opened the Store on the iPhone itself, after it loaded I clicked on a category and my phone shut down, and won't turn on since. I tried a hard reset and it does nothing. All I can see is a faint Apple logo if I plug the charger in, the screen then flashes dimly (no backlight at all) a few times then the Apple logo just disappears again.

try to go into restore mode and restore it

use either the 25 sec method or the 10 second method

this is one that works for a downgrade

First, download the iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw from Apple. Then connect phone to dock, and hold down home button and power button for about 10 seconds until phone turns off. Now release the power button but continue holding the home button. After about 10 seconds the computer will detect the iphone in restore mode, and itunes should tell that the phone needs to be restored. Hold down SHIFT key (Windows) or ALT-key (Mac) when clicking the Restore button, and select the file you downloaded previously. Let the restore complete and ignore the error at the end. Now your phone should show a rectangle, but don't worry about it. Run AppTap to jailbreak your phone - it will fix it even though you get errors.

were your phone unlocked? or u just tried it with 1.1.1 ? I have 1.0.2 and unlocked and tried that thing but i didnt have any problem

My phone is 1.1.1 from factory and was untouched. What should I do? Restore with 1.1.1? Will that work?

It's fixed. I don't if it was because the battery went or what? I'm sure the battery indicator was at about 80%?? Maybe it was because I hadn't charged it since I got it the day before? Maybe the 80% was a false reading and when I stressed the battery with Safari and a Wifi connection is shutdown on me?

I left it charge all day while I was at work, but it still wouldn't turn on, then I plugged it into iTunes and it came on?? Maybe the cheat browsing did cause some sort of error but iTunes has got it working again

EDIT: Oh it just cut out again on me while I was using Google Maps, but as soon as I plugged it into iTunes it came back on
