    even a mark similar such as iph0ne will get you into trouble. If you keep the iphone domain you have I would put something totally random and unrelated to the Apple IPhone on it, this way they cannot take that off you!

    NotFound raised the best point in this thread, I deal with domain disputes all the time on an international level and trust me... if they really wanted that domain they'd do it!

    I take Trademark infringement seriously myself, I dont like people doing it... however as I did say previously.... it's all for the support of Apples product so they shouldn't get so pissy about it!

    The only thing Apple can truly harass you on is the use of iphone in your domain. Maybe they may have a case because you use apple's images on your site. But there is no way in hell they can do you anything for the look of you site. Apple tried to sue Microsoft for Windows copying the look and feel of Mac OS and they failed. It's like the owners of the Mona Lisa trying to sue you for creating a similar painting. That won't hold water.

    Thanks to NotFound I understand that the domain name is in infringement of Apple's trademark.

    But I still have a question: If I keep the domain and forward it to IFONECOSTARICA.COM will I continue doing a infringement to Apple's trademark?

    I mean the domain will always exists, it will always have the word iPhone on it, and will send you to a page that talks about iPhones ?

    @Dezur
    Apple doesn't seem to be bitchy about iFone, since they let ModMyiFone.com Go. Perhaps in their perspective, iFone is not identical (of course not) or confusingly similar to *iPhone*, although they sound the same.

    @iphonedev
    They still can. It's whether you have EVER done it, rather than, if you ARE doing it.
