I mean I'm pretty sure they can easily have their .app thats downloaded to your phone generate some sort of file with your IMEI and Serial then use the information in file to log into their server and download the actual files needed for unlocking.

I am sure that it is as difficult to unlock the iphone as to unlock the app from iphonesimfree.
dont be silly, att paid millions to apple to give them the exclusive now we have 2 methods to unlock the iphone, someone will do something to emulate the tokens or something, every software on the net has been cracked, windows for example, it wont take too long for the hackers to come with a solution. i know some hackers who hacks servers with thousands of credit cards on it, dont you think they will be able to crack this app?? think twice, everything has a solution.

The application itself is not tied to any specific phone; it just connects to the Internet and checks if your IMEI is in their database and if it is then you can unlock your phone.

I have an Independence activated iPhone + installer.app.
    Maybe ISF needs Factory Activation.
    will try that
Had the same problem. Do you have a pin on your simcard? If yes, that's the problem, you will need to remove the sim. If you're as unlucky as me, and the simcard won't allow you to remove the pin, than you're out of luck!

At this point the unlock is useless to me because it doesn't work with pin enabled sim cards, and i have no way to disable the pin on my card.

Sound a little toooo easy. If thats the case i'm pretty sure someone will have the app to download from a fake server setup by the user and unlock thousands of iphones for the price of one. I think these guys are a little smarter than that.

i set the pin on my sim card, and luckily i know/remember the password (figured that out swapping phones wiht my GF)

my old smamsung allows you to set, it, some phones do, some dont, if you dont know start with the obvious (cause it probable means you didnt ever set one) so its 0000, or 1234, or 1111, 2222 etc.. i remember when i swapped phones a WHILE back it asked for a sim lock pass, and i had to figure it out this way, and thats why i set one i could remember if i had to.

    good luck
