i just receive my iphone 3 hours ago ,after i take off the sticker and screen protector the phone automatically on.around half an hour i wait and noting show up!i decide to restore then i click the home button and powerkey and the screen shown connect to itune ..then i download "iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore" to restore but this step took me more than half an hour( is this normal?)
any 1 can help me?

Did you get your phone in a sealed box? Maybe someone attempted to unlock the phone and just screwed everything up on it so they decided to sell it.

Make sure your phone is not pluged into computer when your turning it on.

Either way if your not getting the emergency call option right when you turn on your phone then clearly someone has screwed up your software or if you bought it yourself from the apple store then its clearly a glitch and you should return it.

If it is serverly screwed then you could try taking it to the Apple Store and see what they can do.

Ya that was my main concerning when I bought the Iphone off ebay. If you live a different country, makes things a lot more complicated cause you would have to go to a Apple store. Unless maybe you can call them up and then mail it to them.

If you lived in the USA i would tell you right away to return it cause somethings not right. Looks like the screwed up the software.

You migth as well upgrade as long as you know how to unlock from the upgraded version. Maybe once you upgrade everything will be back to normal. At this point id say go for it, you ahve nothing to lose.
