I know I said before that their did not seem much new in 1.12 but I have been playing around with it for a while now and just want to say even though there are no new features the improvement in performance is something as soon as you upgrade and start to play around with will notice

Two things stand out in particular

1. Safari - speed... Forget about it this thing now surfs so fast my head is spinning plus multitab browsing works much better

2. The intelligence of the keyboard ... Its IQ sky rocketed through the roof I am typing so quick on this now ... This is for sure something everyone will notice when they upgrade and play around a little ... I really trust this keyboard now

Damn I don't want to stop typing it is so cool...100% apple has improved the algorithm you guys are going to love this once you get your hands on it


EDIT:I just want to be clear because their are obviously allot of stupid teenagers on this forum I am not telling you to upgrade to 112 until it has been verified that their is an unlock or you will end up like me and have an iPod touch ... I am just reporting on my experience thus far so you guys know what you have to look forward to

How did you upgrade?

A couple things that I noticed in 1.1.2

- They fixed the caps lock bug when entering passwords. In 1.1.1 it didn't turn off caps after you pressed the character on the keyboard. You had to turn it off manually.

- Ringtones are now separated into two categories on the phone.
Under Settings->Sounds->Ringtones you now have a "Custom" and "Standard" group. It's kind of nice having all your custom ringtones grouped together separated from the normal standard ringtones.

Is it possible to turn the ringer all the way down to Silent from the spring board? in 1.1.1, it got stuck at the last notch. Can you please try it with 1.1.2?

The so-called HUGE improvement is not that attractive. What do he mean by typing faster?

will it be safe to upgrade an unlocked 1.1.1 phone?

fellas, i heard 1.1.2 messes up the jailbreak so i dunno how this guy upgraded

personally, im scared to try it...it took me long enough to unlock after upgrading to 1.1.1

a HUGE improvement would be A2DP support... it would be a nice surprise.
