    Default http://www.iphonesimfree.com/ and fox news

I was just watching the news, FOX NEWS, and they had this segment on some 17 year old who got help from the wiki group and now has a fully unlocked phone.
I also read about the http://www.iphonesimfree.com/

So why are we the last to find out? And how come it still says on this website that the phone is yet to be unlocked?

    A bit disappointed here..........

    Yes I see.
But why is a 17 year old on the news and with full unlocked phone and dev wiki still trying hard to work at it?

that 17 year old kid used to be on the dev team.
plus, his unlock was hardware based, meaning you have to open up your phone, solder wires, and perform a complicated unlock. the dev team is working on a software unlock, meaning you don't need to open it.

dev team will release it for free. simfree and uniquephones are both charging $50

iphonesimfree is going to have to charge a lot less than $50 bucks if they want to sell as much as uniquephones is. Uniquephones have 450,000 users signed up for the unlock who will be receiving a discount of 25%-50%. If they want to sell as much as uniquephones or steal their users away, their going to have to sell for half of what the pricing is on uniquephones.

Also if Uniquephones is releasing it tomorrow like they said they will, it's going to completely own iphonesimfree.

    I'm not disappointed at all.

Unlocking the phone has been a race of sorts. Looks like they beat everyone, but that's cool! It means it can be done, and more people are getting access to it. Regular phones come unlocked, mobiles should too.

Ya, I donated money to "the cause", not a ton, but enough to cover my bandwidth here. :-)
