Really hoping someone can help me get a photo thats imbedded in one of my contacts.....Ive had 3 different Iphones now and restored it allot, the photo isnt in my camera roll or anywhere else i can find besides my contact & doesnt seem to be a option to save it

I know there is a file in Library/AddressBook called "AddressBookImages.sqlitedb" but how you then extract the picture is beyond me.

You do realize the picture used in contacts is only going to be a thumbnail "poor quality" image.

I dont think the quality will be good but you can retreive it by first copying the /private/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook/AddressBookImages.sqlitedb file to your computer. Then install firefox addon SQLLite Manager. Using that open the file you just copied to your computer. Goto Tables->ABImage and on the right side you should see a bunch of rows. Each row is a contact image. To retreive the image double-click on that area that say BLOB. On the new window that opens Scroll down to the very bottom. You will see an option to save BLOB data to file. Just save the file as image.jpg and you should be able to see the image.

The quality however will not be good since it is just a thumbnail.
