Just tried the go phone thing. The message I got was you may not be eligible. I guess it didn't work. I don't know how those other guys did it, but mine is not working. I'm going to wait till tomorrow to see what happens but as far as I know it didn't work

150 again? When was it ever 150? Also, if you still have Apple in your portfolio you're going to lose some money.
I bought 8k GBP worth of Apple shares when they were $114 a few months ago, sold them recently for $144, I doubt Apple shares will break $150 this year...

Hey everyone, I'm new here, but I would like to add some experience onto this rebate issue, I was one of the people who grabbed an iPhone and activated when it launched, 2 days later I canceled my AT&T plan (early method of activating for free without paying the cancellation fee's) and since then I have enjoyed the iPhone with out the phone feature of course.
When the software unlock came out I did it with mine and it came out pretty good, I’ll make a new post about my unlock experience later; However, when the rebate information came out, I still had my old iPhone AT&T number, of course by now, there was no service on that number, but I gave it a shot and it replied that it was sending a text with the access code, I waited, but nothing happened, I was hoping it would send the text, but I knew since the account was already closed, it wouldn’t work.
I Tried again, this time with my t-mobile sim in the iPhone, and entered my t-mobile number, it brought up that I may not be eligible page; so I gave up on the t-mobile number; My friend has AT&T number I entered that, and it brought up the same thing.
However out of curiosity, since I head about serial numbers being ‘wasted’ I gave it another chance with my old iPhone AT&T number again, but this time it didn’t say the ‘you may not be eligible’ page, but rather it was sending my access code again.
Now this made me even more curios, so what I did I spent $25 and bought a new AT&T sim card and made a new contract with AT&T (of course I’ll be canceling again within 3 day so I wont get charged anything) though iTunes, got a new number. I waited a while before I tried it again, however it brought up the ‘you may not be eligible’ page once again, it noted in the F.A.Q. that if you just activated, it could take up to 24 hours for it to be registered so you could get the access code. Thus I’m going to wait and see if this works, then it could be a work around to get at least some of the rebate back $100 - $25 for new sim = $75 back.
I’ll keep ya’ll updated on what happens.
